當老婆前天(星期五)晚駕車回家, 從大街上轉入我們居住的巷子時, 看到一輛車的就停在巷子內不遠處. 只見一位女子坐在車內, 一位男子則正站在車旁, 面對著巷子內的樹林. 這男子也不害羞, 見到老婆的車子趕忙轉身並拉上褲子的拉鏈…隨地小便???…並隨手打招呼. 原來他是要問一所教會的位置. 聽了老婆的敘述, 讓我想起兩三個星期前在市中心見的另一幕. 這是發生在早上的通勤公車. 當我搭程的公車停在 9th & Steward, 準備讓乘客下車. 車門一打開, 只見一個男子正巧在門外的人行道旁, 距我們約十英呎, 那棟年初新建好的建築物後的巷子內小便. 很不幸的那時公車正在等紅綠燈, 所以司機並不急著關門… 事實上, 公車司機並不知道後門外發生的這一切. 所有我們這些後面的乘客, 清清楚楚的, 就靜靜的看著這位仁兄, 扶著他的小朋友小便結束, 抖了抖, 整理下他的褲子. 拉上褲子的拉鏈後離去… 先生, Greyhound 西雅圖市中心站就在你的斜對面, 難道你忍不到那裡嗎? 家裡的電話
應該已經有兩三年多了, 常常接到找 John, the computer guy 的電話. 我們問了那些打電話來的人. 告訴的電話號碼竟是和我們家的電話號碼一模一樣, 連區碼也是一樣. 後來我們發現到, 我們以前的電話公司, 不知為什麼? 把我們家的電話號碼, 分配給了一個當地的電腦商店. 儘管我們注意到, 這個電腦商已經有了新的號碼, 但是這個錯誤還是隨處可見…網路上的電話搜尋, 電話簿等等. 因此我們還是一直接到這些找 John 修理電腦的電話. 有時候一天可以接到個兩三次. 真想不如就當壞人, 把他的生意給搶了…

糟糕的交通

上星期二, 從 City Utility Service 的 Billing Department 打電話來. 他們最後找到了從 1999 年 2 月起的資料. 因此他們很好心的從 1999 年 2 月開始算起. 算算七年多來的水費. 嗯…至少有一陣子不用再繳水費了. 星期五, city utility service 的員工再次敲了家的門. 在查了他們的資料和實地的探勘後, 他們的結論是, “當初蓋房子的時候, 建商通知 city utility service 時報錯了位置.” City utility service 所保存的建商提供的檔案資訊和實際上的水表位置是錯誤的. 意思就是說, 從先前這房子的屋主, 到後來我們住這十幾年間. 我們一直都是幫鄰居付水費…當然, 鄰居也是一直幫我們付水費. 由於錯誤得太久, 因此水費也只從今年二月起重算… 不知道這樣子是否可以提報 Guinness World Records?
