今天在 Downtown Everett 等公車時, 和旁邊的一位女士聊了起來. 她說她現在還有 jetlag, 因為她兩天前才剛從德國 München 回來. 這是她 19 年來第一次回去. 對她來說 19 年來第一次回去, 最驚訝的是科技. 她說, “誰說德國的科技在世界是領先的?” 這次她回去, 發現絕大多數的親朋好友還是用那個 19 年前的那台電視機. “在美國, 電視明年都準備要完全的數位播放,” 她說, “這次回去除了人以外(都變老了), 變化實在是不多.” “Wow! 德國科技真的是很先進.” 我回答, “在這裡有多少電視機可以一用就用 19 年的. 有十年就很利害了.” ^_^ Side Note: Seeds Of Compassion: 達賴喇嘛在西雅圖的活動 (4/11 – 4/15). 這星期才發現自 2 月 1 日起, 幫小朋友申請護照這麼麻煩. 父母雙方都要到場. 如果其中一位不能去, 就要另外拿表寫全權交由另一方處理. 這表格還要拿去 Notary 才行. 有時間去 Notary 不如就直接親自到場去幫小朋友申請護照了…
根本擠不上公車…
今天早上在往 Seattle Center 的路上, 擠到不行. 公車在 I-5 上被擠到. 市中心往 Seattle Center 的路上也擠. 到市中心後準備轉車到 Belltown, 公車根本連擠上去的地方都沒有. 結果等到第三班的公車才勉強有立足之地. 實在是太瘋狂了.
