Metropolitan Improvement District: MID 是 Downtown Seattle Association 的組織之一. 他們的目的就是保持西雅圖市中心的清潔和幫忙市中心的商家, 居民, 上班族, 遊客的安全, 路線和公車導引. 他們的黃黑相間的衣服是最明顯的標誌. 當在西雅圖市中心需要任何幫助時, 他們是最容易找到也是最好的幫手. RapidRide (熱狗公車)
昨天 King County Metro 展示明年起開始的 RapidRide 快速公車的圖裝…看起來真的很像是熱狗. Seattle PI 上的照片 加州洛杉磯的 Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) 的這個路線幾乎成為全美快速公車的典範. 從影片上, 可以清楚的看到加州的 BRT 是建在公車專屬的車道上, 因此可以把公車當捷運使用. 但是 King County Metro 的 RapidBus 和今年 11 月 30 日起就會開始行駛的 Community Transit 的 SWIFT 都是建在普通道路上, 和一般交通擠在一起. 實在很懷疑這種快速公車是否可以發揮她應有的功能?
