星期六家裡的微波爐使用了十多年後, 在小小的爆裂聲中終於壞了… 由於老婆很久前就想把這台微波爐加上抽油煙機給換成像東亞家庭使用的抽油煙機, 剛好就利用這個機會把它給換了. 去了西雅圖的 Chinatown/International District 逛了一下, 選了太平洋這個牌子. 先前的舊微波爐/抽油煙機已經有排煙管了, 不需要另外請人做過, 只需要更換成這個抽油煙機. 還好沒有太難…

完成搬家…
又逃到另一個 hosting service… 從 POWWEB.COM 搬到 GoDaddy.com. 簡單的理由就是便宜, 從一個月 $6, 到了一個月約 $4. 尤其我又最不喜歡用 SQL, 總覺得 SQL connection 常常斷, 還有讀取的速度. 再加上沒有使用 SQL 逃難也方便, 目錄直接上傳到新網站就可以用了. 不過這搬家還是倒站了約 28 小時. 後來發現的原因是…沒有耐心. 網路上的設定總要等個十幾分鐘才可以使用, 但是沒有耐心, 以為自己設定錯誤. 這經驗大概沒有兩個月就會忘了… 除了沒有 cron, 這新網站的讀取速度倒是滿快的… Side Note: After toys are recalled, then what?: 有 Recall 的玩具請不要丟掉造成二次污染, 請花時間拿到店裡回收. Ranger’s guide book causes a legal stir 文章裡提到一位作者 (Mr. Jason Bausher) 出了本小冊子 “Best of the Olympic Peninsula”, 介紹奧林匹克半島的風景. 不過由於網路的無遠弗屆, 問題就出在網路上了. 美國的奧林匹克委員會 (U.S. Olympic Committee; USOC) 並不直接從美國政府拿一毛錢. 近半的奧林匹克經費(約六千萬美元)都是從專利上獲得. 因此任何個人或公司行號都不可以使用 Olympic 這個字做任何的商業行為. “”Congress wanted to make sure that USOC would have a way to fund their activities.
