最近家裡的小朋友喜歡玩線上的 Thinking Tank. 事實上他並不知道他是在線上玩, 他以為就是在玩電腦遊戲. 雖然他知道如何的前進, 後退, 左右轉彎和射擊這些基本動作, 沒有純熟的技術讓他很快的就被其他人給解決掉了. 不過他還是玩得很高興. 我們並不擔心他會使用聊天功能和其他的玩家聊天, 因為他並不知道有聊天這種功能. 我想也不會有人會想要和他聊天. 我反而對那些玩家感到非常的抱歉. 當他們在撕殺的同時, 是否知道和他們對決的, 有可能只是個三歲的小傢伙. Sounder Takes You With a Flash 原來是有一個秘密的裸體海灘. 難怪搭火車時總是會看到. 根據報紙上報導, 那海灘是叫 “Peter Point”, 並不是一個容易到達的海灘; 必須要非法穿越火車和油廠的土地. 正確的位置是約在 Woodway 和 Edmonds 之間. 火車上明顯的路標是看到 Point Wells 的油槽之後…或是看到許多乘車旅客開始往外張望… 當在 1996 年搭乘 Amtrak Empire Builder 時, 我們就已經有了第一次的經歷. 那時是看到三位穿著”生日衣服”的男性, 其中一位還向火車招手. 後來 Sound Transit 開始每日的 Sounder 通勤火車, 這個海灘慢慢的就被通勤族給發現了. 現在似乎已經成為往北通勤火車的景點之一. 我並不喜歡坐在通勤火車靠海邊的那一側, 傍晚的太陽實在是太刺眼了, 一點也不能用電腦. 除非那天我沒有用電腦, 才會想要坐在靠海的那一側. 和往南 Tacoma 的 Sounder 火車比起來, 往北 Everett 的 Sounder 的確是有變化多了. 來西雅圖, 如果那天是個出太陽的好日子. 下午時刻, 別忘了來個火車之旅. 永遠也不知道會看見什麼有趣的東西. ^_^ Side Note: Some real estate agents protect status quo — even if it costs them

Carbon Glacier

說它是冰河大概會有不相信的人. 哪有冰河是黑色的? 或是上面還可以長草? 趁著小朋友就快要開學, 決定去試試超過 3 英哩的. 國家公園網站上寫著, 來回 3.5 英哩約三個小時. 小朋友在邊走邊玩下, 花了五個小時來回. 不過小朋友只走到 3.1 英哩處的吊橋, 自己另外再走到 Trail 終點. 這個 Trail 非常受歡迎, 除了像我們這些 Day Hikers, 還有很多背著露營裝設的人潮. 我想冰河一般是從高處往下看比較漂亮吧! 這樣近距離只能感受到它的”巨大”. 冰河終點被塵土覆蓋的冰而變得黑黑的, 看不出來的人還以為是山壁的一部份.
