一年一度的 Seafair 重頭戲 Fleet Arrival, Hydroplane Races, 籃天使的飛行表演就在這個週末上演. Fleet Arrival 今年的船少得可憐, 從最早的航空母艦, 到 Amphibious Assault Ship, 到今年竟然只來了艘 LPD Amphibious Transport Dock. 兩艘神盾級驅逐艦, 海岸防衛隊工作船, 和加拿大海軍. 不過寫這個的目的是關於 Hydroplane Races 和籃天使的飛行表演的門票. 如果不想花 $25 買門票, 可以到贊助商店購買至少 $20 贊助廠商的產品, 獲取一張免費的星期日入場卷. 可搭乘 Seafair 接駁公車到 Genesee Park. 從西雅圖市中心亦可搭乘 Metro #39 號公車.

1 dead, 5 wounded in shootings At least one killed during shooting at Seattle Jewish federation 儘管 Westlake Center 前的廣場, 這幾天都是關於對以色列和黎巴嫩的聚集和廣播, 但是雙方也是互不侵犯, 彼此尊重. 尤其是出事的 Seattle Jewish Federation 並不是很特別的地方. 我每天早上去上班一定經過的地方. 常常看到四週有不少老弱婦孺和遊民聚集在附近聊天. 那地點多是遊民的聚集地. 因為 Jewish Federation 旁是 Adult and Family Center, 街對面就是 King County Health Clinic for Homeless Network 和 YWCA. 中午以後遊民多會在第三街的西側(就是 Jewish Federation 那一邊)躲太陽. 這個槍手我覺得做案前根本沒做功課, 只是純粹的發洩心中的不滿. 如果他知道這地點的周遭環境, 根本不是發洩怨氣的地方. 今年的大西雅圖地區實在是太不平靜了, 從三月份的 Capitol Hill 屠殺, 死了七個人, 這個月兩位登山客的被槍殺, 一個在 Kirkland 家庭姐妹和姐姐的兩個孩子被殺, 和 Skyway 三個人被槍殺. 希望不幸的事情不要接二連三的發生下去. TVAnts 電視螞蟻 這個利用 BitTorrent (中文介紹)技術的軟體, 讓寬頻網路使用者可以利用 Peer-To-Peer 的技術觀看各種電視節目. 不過裡面的電視節目應該都是沒有授權播放的. 不知道這個遊走法律邊緣的軟體可以存活多久? 不過真的是滿不錯的點子.
