今天下午接到通知，到 north yard parkout 代班。由於這輛校車早上未被使用，因此需要進行 pre‑trip。
離開 yard 不久，我發現速度表故障，無法顯示車速。依照規定，駕駛應立即通知 dispatch，並將車輛列為 out of service。
我向 ride along 的駕駛說明情況後，決定仍然完成路線而不往上報。當下的判斷依據是保持比周遭車輛更慢的速度。一般而言，校車常常停車上下學生，其他駕駛對校車慢速行駛已有共識，因此不太會造成困擾。
同行的駕駛是 safety advisor，他隨車是為了查看其中一條載國中生的路線。根據該路線的原駕駛回報，有些學生經常不遵守規矩，造成她的困擾，因此 safety advisor 需要實地觀察。
回到 yard 後，我仍依規定回報問題，讓 shop 知道並處理。
